My primary passion in portraiture is to capture the sitter’s likeness, beauty, and spirit. I strive to put life and feeling into my portraits. I also work to give the sitter and their family a portrait that they will be happy and proud to hang in their homes for future generations to come.

 

 

I will meet with the client to obtain all information needed to complete an oil portrait. The initial meeting is spent getting to know the subject and discussing various aspects of the portrait, including where it will hang, size and style, clothing to be worn, and background and prop options. A photo session will take place with the subject being photographed in various poses. The artist and client will review the photos and favorites will be selected as references for the final oil portrait.

 

 

Portrait fees start at $2500. The price is based on the following criteria: the number of people or pets in the painting; how much of each subject is to be depicted; the size of the actual painting itself; the intricacy of clothing, jewelry, and props; and the complexity of the background setting.
